This project was a collaborative effort between the architect and landscape architect to create a dynamic lakeside property and entertainment environment for the family and their guests to enjoy. The home is positioned on a high bluff on the north shore over Orchard Lake with stunning views of Apple Island.

Natural ledgestone slabs and boulder rock outcrops were positioned to retain the severe topography and create a seawall. A stone slab staircase meanders through natural boulder outcrops and native slopeside plantings to the sand beach and docking facilities for watercraft. The beach includes a stone ramp for annual nesting resident turtles.

Cast stone planters with seasonal annual plantings set on monolithic limestone pedestals welcome you to the dramatic entry foyer to the home. The panorama view of Apple Island fills the horizon as you enter the home. Contrasting textural plant masses and organized lawn panels connect the site while blending into the natural environment and complementing the stunning contemporary architecture.
